  • Tripwire has run under anyBSD for years.

    2.x didn't until now. 1.x is really old, it's not secure unless you use it with read-only media, the hashing algorithms aren't as good, and it's not being actively maintained anymore. This new port is a Good Thing.
  • An system integrity tool. Tripwire lets you monitor changes to a filesystem and can email you when something out of the ordinary occurs, like /bin/ps being replaced, etc. rjf&
