If you take away the commercial standards for development all that is left is the individual developer's very personal, very subjective opinion on how to proceed, a strength and weakness of free/open source software project management. So is it ironic when people who like to call themselves "educated" and "open minded" tend to be exclusionary and elitist as well?

Requiring that code be written bug-free and rejecting contributors who don't write bug-free code is ableism and elitism, akin to racism.
