HP sell your PC divison to Google (Score:2)
I heard they buy failed tech companies cheap, for pennies on the dollar. Google bought Motorola Mobile for the cell phone patents and now HP/Compaq for the PC, laptop, and hand held patents. Next maybe Google will buy out Commodore or Atari for some of the old 8 bit patents and sign a deal with Steve Wozniak for the Apple 1 tech?
Googlerola becomes GooglerolaHPCompaq putting ChromeOS on all HP and Compaq systems and bundles a free Droid cell phone with them. :)

Commodore was the #1 home PC manufacturer and Atari was #2, look what happened to them.
HP/Compaq while number 1 cannot earn a profit, eMachines and Packard Bell used to be like that too, cutting prices so low to sell more, that they could not earn a profit. Also the help desks drive away customers as well when they offshore them and cannot help as well as native help desks. So they can sell all the computers they want, eventually their customers will leave them unless they fix those issues.
