Submission + - Google Maps Brings 3D Buildings To London->

judgecorp writes: "Google Maps for Android (and the desktop version too) now showss ghostly 3D images of the Tower of London and other buildings — thanks to a move from tiles to vector graphics.

London is in the latest group of cities to get isometric 3D buildings — including the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey, but strangely omitting St Pauls and Battersea Power Station. Some buildings like the "Gherkin" (Ste Mary Axe) and the "Shard" (soon to be Europe's tallest building) come out a little strange in isometric rendering."
